A stereo loop processor that turns a held moment into an instrument.

Hold a button to capture and repeat. Push into reverse, freeze the read position, bounce between the edges or scatter grains across the stereo field. Release the button and return to your dry signal.

How it plays

Turn the encoder through Time, Spray, Shape, Groove and Texture. The two knobs change character with each bank: pitch and grain length, position jitter and width, window shape, recapture timing, or overlap and gain.

Classic forward records from the button press: the first slice stays live, then repeats. Ping-pong uses one bouncing grain. Click the encoder to toggle clock sync; synchronized grains follow whole notes through 1/32.

Know the edges

Freeze can fall silent at a grain-window edge. Pitch changes can alias. Shape and Texture share the gain control. This is a live effect, not a promise of invisible edits or beat-grid alignment.

Internal-flash build. Installing it replaces the internal firmware, including an existing Daisy bootloader.

Converter character meets a granular layer that refuses to sit still.

Load a phrase, choose a converter era and move its start point while you play. Keep it direct, or switch on grains and explore HOLD, SCAN and JUMP. The five modes are distinct DSP interpretations of converter character—not claims of exact hardware replicas.

In SAMPLE, the encoder chooses a slot and the knobs control start and pitch. In GRAIN, select a converter era, shape the gate and choose from 12 timing divisions. Hold Button 1 to play. The Pod controls part 1; the remaining parts are accessible over MIDI and the editor.

Loops, grains & MIDI

Forward and ping-pong loop brackets carry into the grain layer. USB MIDI and DIN MIDI handle performance; the repository’s browser editor handles deeper parameters and sample transfer.

*The engine shares 16 voice slots and applies a CPU admission limit on hardware. Audition your heaviest patch before relying on the full pool.

QSPI application. Requires the Daisy bootloader already installed. Use desktop Chrome or Edge for the Web MIDI editor. Hardware audition is still required before calling this release final.

Keep the low end rooted. Let everything above it mutate.

A MIDI-fed bass voice with independent sub and growl paths. A phase-reset sub stays separate from the oscillators, granular foley and external audio feeding the growl chain. Drive, shaping, folding, comb filtering and a final filter create the moving surface.

A voice with two nervous systems

In split mode, the left output carries SUB and the right carries GROWL. Choose internal oscillators, external audio or a mix as the growl source. Clocked LFOs, sample-and-hold, envelopes and random walks bring motion without forcing the sub through the same processing.

Built to measure—and to listen

The project includes a Web MIDI editor and a hardware measurement harness. Its release build and audio behavior still require the appropriate physical rig. The v2 editor requires compatible NEUROPOD firmware and desktop Chrome or Edge with MIDI + SysEx permission. NEUROPOD is not included in this website’s packaged firmware library yet.

Amen Audio is an independent collection of instrument studies for the Daisy Pod. We care about what happens between a deliberate gesture and an unexpected sound.

These projects are still evolving. The manuals describe the controls, the source shows how the engines work, and the next patch is another invitation to play.

Connect your Pod.

Use desktop Chrome or Edge over HTTPS. Enter the correct boot mode for your chosen firmware.

Confirm. Install. Verify.

Installation starts only after your confirmation. The uploader reads the bytes back before reporting success.

USB access stays in your browser. Safari and Firefox can browse and download firmware. A verified transfer does not certify working audio—check your instrument at a low monitoring level.
